Anthony Joshua prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight round fight which will be streamed in real-time on Netflix.
Briton Anthony Joshua said he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "defeat" the American as the combatants confronted each other to promote next month's heavyweight fight.
Former two-time world boxing king Anthony Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, theoretically, a massive mismatch - at Miami's Kaseya Center on December 19th.
Fighter's Mentality
"I will break his face and hurt his body. I'm here to prove my superiority," Joshua, 35, declared.
"I will dominate him completely. That's how fighters think.
"I'm going to really want to hurt him. That's what I want to do."
Civil Interaction
Despite those words, a composed Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - usually recognized for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and maintained decorum with each other.
Paul instead targeted ex Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "ridiculous" after Ngannou turned down a match opportunity.
Taking Aim at Fury
Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, criticized UK opponent Tyson Fury - and rejected a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a Paul win.
"Jake Paul is superior to Fury - he's present here," Joshua said.
"I respect him for that."
Serious Opponent
In spite of stating he plans to punish Paul, Joshua declined to talk badly about his rival's boxing ability.
"Jake is a credible opponent," he remarked.
Jake Paul's Background
Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has primarily boxed MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since entering professional boxing.
He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in last year.
Financial Attraction
Nevertheless, the novice is still one of the sport's largest financial successes, consistently making massive financial rewards.
Forecast and Belief
The 28 year old forecast a KO victory in rounds four or five and asserted he would derail the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is allegedly being planned for two years from now.
"It's going to be my match with Fury next year," Jake Paul said.
Physical Disparity
As the two fighters met for the traditional face-off, with their physical disparity evident, it emphasized just how unlikely this whole event is - and how astonishing it is that the fight is actually proceeding.
